Open Gardens 2010 - a great success!

Visitors to Marton cum Grafton on 27th June were treated to a delight at this year's Open Gardens event with many wonderful gardens on show - some with views of the Dales, others with views of the Moors and two with a glimpse of York and its Minster.

The weather was fantastic, not a drop of rain in sight, shame about that other thing, what do you call it...? football!

In addition to the stunning gardens, home made lunches, teas, BBQ, plant and cake stalls, arts & crafts exhibition, and a courtesy bus service around the village were all available.

All proceeds from the Open Gardens event are shared between the church, village school, village hall, and proposed tennis courts, all of which serve a vital purpose to the local community.
