About the event

As a much anticipated annual date in the diary, the event is a wonderful day which will entertain all ages. With over 14 gardens open to wander around in the picturesque village between Harrogate and York, there will also be art work on display, plenty of fun games on the Green and delicious food to enjoy.

This charming village, which received much media attention recently by converting its unused BT phone box into the Smallest Library, has a great variety of beautiful gardens on display of all sizes and styles. We also provide a courtesy bus service taking people from one end of the village to the other. In addition, there will be a floral display in the village church, a local art exhibition and lots of children's fun and games - and the famous phone box will also be decorated for the occasion!

Once the delightful gardens have sufficiently whet the appetite, there will be home-made lunches and teas to enjoy, as well as a BBQ and ice creams on the village green. In addition, there will be plant and cake stalls, lots of games on the Green to entertain the children, car parking, disabled parking and wheel chair access to many of the gardens.

All proceeds are shared equally between the church, primary school, Memorial hall and the proposed tennis courts, all of which serve a vital purpose to the local community.
